A Mother’s Faith: A Legacy of Love and Miracles

In the shadow of a mother’s love, lives are transformed, and miracles happen. This is the story of Gertrude Yount, a woman whose faith and love left an indelible mark on many, even those who never had the chance to know her.

Gertrude went to be with Jesus on March 2, 2015, at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she experienced numerous healings and miracles, inspiring and encouraging countless people with her unwavering faith. Through the storms of life, Gertrude found God and touched the hearts of many with His love.

Her journey of faith began at just 11 years old when she attended Kathryn Kuhlman meetings in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. There, she witnessed extraordinary events that changed her life forever. From that moment on, Gertrude decided that this would be the path she would follow for the rest of her life.

Though she stood only four feet eleven, Gertrude’s faith was as tall as a mountain. She overcame cancer twice, despite doctors giving her a mere five years to live after her first diagnosis. She even managed to keep her foot after doctors suggested amputation, believing that she would take it with her to heaven. Gertrude outlived many of the doctors who doubted her resilience and survival.

Her faith was so strong, and her love for God was so deep that she requested to be laid to rest without shoes or socks, eager to dance on the streets of gold in her bare feet. This remarkable request was honored, reminding those who knew her that it would be impossible to fill her shoes.

Gertrude’s faith was not only powerful but also contagious. She shared her stories of healing and miracles with others, urging them to repent and experience God’s love for themselves. Her unstoppable and persevering faith was like a runaway freight train that couldn’t be stopped.

In times of struggle, Gertrude’s faith never wavered. When heaven seemed silent, she remained steadfast, teaching those around her the importance of patience and trust in God’s plan. Her life was a testament to the power of faith and the importance of living a life of love, both between and after miracles.

Gertrude’s story serves as an inspiration for us all to embrace a childlike faith – to believe without doubting and to trust in God’s love, even during life’s most challenging storms. It is in these moments that we must remember to smile, for all the way home, God is taking our picture.

In the end, Gertrude Yount’s legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the spiritual inheritance she passed on. Her story is a beautiful reminder that the power of a mother’s faith can create a lasting impact, one that will continue to inspire and encourage others for generations to come.
