Can the Bible Foresee Future Events?
Understanding Prophecy and God's Eternal Plan.

Many wonder if the Bible predicts the future. The answer is a resounding yes. God’s omnipresence allows Him to declare the end from the beginning, as seen in Isaiah 46:9-10. This divine foresight is evident through numerous fulfilled prophecies, such as Micah's prediction of Jesus’ birthplace in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2) and Zechariah's prophecy of Jesus' betrayal for thirty pieces of silver (Zech 11:12-13).
Fulfilled Prophecies
Scripture is replete with fulfilled prophecies. For instance, the Prophet Jeremiah foretold that Edom would become a barren wasteland (Jeremiah 49:15-20), a prophecy that has come to pass. These fulfilled prophecies confirm that God’s Word is trustworthy and precise.
The Future Kingdom
Looking ahead, the Bible describes a future where God’s kingdom comes to earth, introducing a new heaven and a new earth (Revelation 21:1-3). In this new reality, God will dwell with humanity, wiping away every tear and abolishing death and suffering (Revelation 21:4).
The New Jerusalem
In Revelation 22, the Apostle John describes the New Jerusalem, where the river of life flows, and the tree of life provides healing (Revelation 22:1-2). Here, God's presence will be fully realized, and His servants will worship Him, seeing His face for the first time (Revelation 22:3-4).
Conclusion
The Bible not only predicts the future but assures us of a glorious destiny with God. Isaiah 65 and 66 further affirm this by envisioning a new creation where sorrow and distress are no more. This future is secured by God's infallible Word, guaranteeing that His promises will come to pass.
