Young Men, Alive in His Power
How the risen Christ gives a generation of young men the strength to stand firm in a fallen world.

Young men today face a spiritual terrain unlike anything their fathers have ever known. In a culture confused about manhood and consumed by self-expression, strength is often seen as toxic, and conviction is called intolerance. Many are left uncertain, disoriented, or ashamed of even desiring to be godly men.
But there’s an ancient truth still burning bright with hope: Jesus Christ is alive, and His resurrection offers power, identity, and direction to every young man who puts his trust in Him.
This message isn’t theoretical. It’s personal. It’s the kind of truth a father would write in a letter to his sons the kind of letter many young men today desperately need to read.
Resurrection Means Hope in the Darkness
Depression, anxiety, addiction, and fear weigh heavily on this generation. There’s a darkness that often feels suffocating. But Peter writes that we have been “born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3).
This isn’t wishful thinking. It’s blood-bought reality. Jesus’s victory over death is your anchor in mental, emotional, and spiritual storms. As C.S. Lewis wrote, “The Man in Christ rose again: not only the God. That is the whole point.”
He rose as one of us, for us. And if He walked out of the tomb, then hope is alive, even when we’re not okay. You don’t have to fake strength or pretend to have it all together. You can cry out, fall down, and still rise again because Christ did.
Resurrection Means Nothing to Prove
Today’s world drives young men to earn worth through accolades, image, approval, and achievement. Yet Scripture says Jesus “was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification” (Romans 4:25). His resurrection didn’t just secure your forgiveness it declared your righteousness.
You don’t have to perform your way into God’s love. You don’t have to fear your past, fake your struggles, or constantly prove yourself. You’re already approved in Christ.
Martyn Lloyd-Jones once said, “We must never look at any sin in our past life in any way except that which leads us to praise God.” If you’re in Christ, your story failures and all is a stage for God’s grace. Rest in that. Live from that.
Resurrection Means Power Over Sin
The culture screams, “Be true to yourself.” But Jesus calls you to die to yourself and in that dying, find true life.
The world tells you that your identity is your feelings, your desires, your flaws. But Scripture says, “We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead . . . we too might walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4).
You are not your lust. You are not your shame. You are not the anger or insecurity that fights to control you. You are a new creation. And the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in you (Romans 8:11). That power is yours.
Yes, sin still tempts, but you are no longer a slave to it. You have a new Master one who leads you in freedom. When you choose holiness, you’re not being fake you’re being your truest self in Christ.
The Battle Is Real But the Victory Is Won
You will face trials. Temptations will come. You’ll stumble. But the resurrection means every fall can be followed by a rise. The battle is not over, but the war has already been won.
So take hold of this gospel truth: the resurrection isn’t just a doctrine to check off. It’s the defining power of your life.
Live like men raised from the dead. Love boldly. Serve humbly. Lead with courage. Seek purity. Speak truth in love. And when the world mocks, doubts, or opposes, remember: Jesus is alive.
And so are you.
