Small Kentucky Church Completes Visits to 600 Homes

Allansville Baptist Church near Winchester, Kentucky, has finished a three-year effort to bring the Gospel to every one of the 600 homes in its precinct, Kentucky Today reported in a story republished by Baptist Press on September 30. Pastor Paul Jorgensen says attendance grew as the visits went on. Volunteers knocked on doors, offered to pray with residents and went back to those who asked for follow-up. In Pastor Appreciation Month, it is a picture of what a small congregation can do when it simply walks next door.
