What’s Delaying the Fulfillment of Your Big Dreams?

Trusting God's Process in Delays.

We all have dreams, big aspirations that feel aligned with God’s plan for our lives. Yet, when these dreams seem delayed or even impossible, it’s easy to grow frustrated or lose faith. But the Bible teaches us that God's timing is perfect, and He often uses these delays to refine us. Just like seeds need time to grow in unseen soil, our dreams also require a season of submission and development in God's hands.

First, consider the Box of Unsubmissiveness. Many of us struggle to submit our dreams to God out of fear He might deny them. However, true submission involves surrendering our hopes and trusting God to either reshape them or bring them to fruition in His way. This mirrors the lesson in John 12:24, where Jesus describes a seed needing to die before it can bear fruit. In the same way, we must allow our dreams to be planted in God’s process before they can grow into something greater.

Secondly, the Box of Doubt can hinder our faith. James 1:6-7 warns that doubt can prevent us from receiving God’s promises. Doubt may not mean disbelief in God but rather doubting His concern or presence in our situation. By submitting both our dreams and our doubts, we open ourselves to trust His faithfulness, even when we can’t see immediate results.

Ultimately, God calls us to plant our dreams, not bury them. Just as Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 3:6-7, it’s God who gives the increase. Our job is to trust, submit, and remove the man-made boxes that hold us back from experiencing His plan.
